So my favorite part of watching the World Series is when, after they win, they show the reactions of all of the players on the field the second they win. All their hard work and busting their ass has paid off, and now they’re on cloud nine.
Is there a “winning of the World Series” for business? It doesn’t seem like much could compare to winning the championship of a major league sport. You know you’re the best team, and nobody can take that away from you… the season is over, done, and you’re on top. Whereas in business, even if you become the best company in your industry, a bad decision can ruin you in a matter of days.
This is probably very subjective so I’m interested in hearing what you guys would consider being the defining moment in your career, where you know you’re the real deal and right when that happens, you’ll leap for joy just as the Cardinals have done tonight…
If your dreams don’t scare you, then they are not big enough.
